Resilient Bars can be used with:
Resilient Bars are designed to offer improved acoustic insulation when constructing a conventional ceiling under timber joists, mineral wool can be included in the floor cavity to improve acoustic performance.
To ensure maximum sound insulation performance, screws fixing the plasterboard must not be in contact with the joists.
Resilient bar is fixed at right angles to the joists at 450mm maximum centres for single or double board applications.
The resilient bars are normally used with 1800mm boards, so if 2400mm boards are used the fixing centres for the bars must be reduced to 400mm.
Resilient bar can also be used within the construction of metal or timber stud walls to improve the acoustic performance.
